BROWN UNIVERSITY is located in Providence, Rhode Island about one hour from Boston and three hours from New York.  The campus is located in the city’s historic district on picturesque College Hill, cleverly disguised by mossy brick and ancient trees.  Downtown is just a few blocks away from campus and boasts a scenic riverfront, concert venues, shopping and a diverse variety of restaurants all waiting to be explored.

HOW TO GET TO PROVIDENCE
FROM BOSTON LOGAN OR PROVIDENCE TF GREEN AIRPORT

Boston Logan Airport  is situated approximately 49 miles north of Providence.

Train: Amtrak / North East Service or Acela 
Amtrak offers many daily runs between South Station and Providence. South Station may be accessed from Logan Airport by either Silver Line Shuttle or Taxi. The Silver Line service takes approximately twenty minutes. An adult fare is $1.25. A taxi will cost about $15.00 an will take about 10 minutes.
North East Service from Boston South Station = approximately $22.00
Acela  from Boston South Station = approximately $88.00 round-trip

Bus: Peter Pan Bus Service 
Boston Logan to Providence Kennedy Plaza, located next to the Biltmore Hotel = $38.00 round-trip

Taxi: Brown University does not reimburse expenses for a taxi service from Boston Logan to Providence.

Providence TF Green Airport is situated approximately 8.5 miles south of Providence.
Airport taxi:  Approximately $40 one-way from Providence TF Green Airport to Brown University

Providence shuttle departs the T.F Green Airport every hour from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday and Sunday. To ride the shuttle all you have to do is be at one of the stops at the pick-up/drop-off time. The airport shuttle to and from the Biltmore leaves at 22 minutes past, and to/from Brown at 27 minutes past

BY CAR / PARKING

From the North or South on Interstate 95:
Take Exit 22 to Downtown Providence. Continue straight on Memorial Boulevard, turn left onto College Street at the fourth set of traffic lights. At the top of the hill, turn left onto Prospect Street. Take your first right onto Waterman Street. Please take note of the parking information below.

From the East on Interstate 195:
Take Exit 2 to South Main Street and continue for half a mile until the first set of traffic lights. Turn right onto College Street and then left at the top of the hill onto Prospect Street. Take your first right onto Waterman Street. Please take note of the parking information below.

From the Northwest:
Follow Route 146 to I-95 South then follow directions above (from north and south). Please take note of the parking information below.

Parking
Visitors may find parking on the streets in and around campus, or in the Visitors Parking lot on Brook St. behind Minden Hall—at the intersection of Brook St. and Waterman St. View map. Much of the street parking around Brown is in the form of metered spots, which cost 25 cents, or one quarter, for every 12 minutes, or $1.25 in quarters per hour.
